Importance of Education by Rosrine

(Education is the key to success). Imagine a world without any schools or even colleges! Impossible right? I know how much we hate waking up early for school or studying all night for those tests or exams. We all know that education is very important.

I think that every single one of us in this room should be able to make it into college by the time we finish intermediate because everyone has the potential to be successful, whether it’s you, you, or you.

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” As quoted by Nelson Mandela.. Education helps us a lot to sharpen our skills. Without Education, we would be living on the streets, we would have no money and we would be a total nobody (right?).

Education gives us knowledge about the world we live in, the universe and beyond. It is important for everyone to have education a part of their life, without education we or I wouldn’t be where we are now.

Education is more than just reading, writing, spelling, maths and so on. It’s also not about being the top student and getting amazing marks. Education is all about having a choice, it is not about being rich and successful, it’s about using it to do something you love.

There are many bad stereotypes about Pacific Islanders, like,
That they are going to have bad jobs, we are lazy, they will struggle in life or they will obviously become criminals. I believe that these stereotypes about Islanders are all lies. If we concentrate on education now. Our futures will be positive and these stereotypes will disappear. Take education seriously, work hard, and choose your future.

“Education is the key to unlock the golden door of freedom”, As Quoted by George Washington Carver.

  1. Hi Rosrine, I agree completely with your message about education. I too, believe that every child at our special school should be able to attend college AND UNIVERSITY, after leaving our school, if that is their choice.

You are completely correct, education is about being able to have choices ... and not being pigeon-holed.

And that is why I am on our school board. Thank you for your awesome and important post.
